Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  1. Manage WWESS/ICP/NPR approval

  2. Develop & deploy the CHCL Internal Quality Control system(Lean FMEA and own CP)

  3. Examples include: defect definitions, limit samples, IMS, warehouse audits, quality inspections.

  4. Train quality inspectors

  5. Verify that products meet all requirements at various stages of manufacturing.

  6. Document quality control supporting SOPs:

  7. Product release criteria and procedures

  8. Product testing, inspection, and metrology for in-process, final product, and post-production audits.

  9. Determine & document sampling plans

  10. Define traceability requirements

  11. Administer statistical process control and response plans when out of control conditions occur

  12. Manage product recovery or product recall activities when necessary

  13. Control of non-conforming material

  14. Support data management

  15. CHCL transparency

Requirements: Education & Experience

  • BS or MS in an engineering discipline or statistical (ceramic, materials, or chemical preferred)

  • Above 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering or development
