Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle, located in Hebron, Ohio is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join the team and be a part of supporting our Mission to build value for employees, customers and stakeholders by delivering timely, cost-effective, innovative ride solutions to advance the global commercial transportation industry. "The World Rides on Us" Position Purpose: In this position the intern/co-op will be exposed to a variety of Manufacturing Engineering functions at a manufacturing plant level. Essential Functions: * Assist in defining new assembly standards. * Create and revise work instructions for processes. * Fixture design and fabrication. * Data analysis. * Other projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field. * Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 * Effective oral, written, and PC skills mandatory * Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required * 3D modeling experience in CREO/ProE is preferred * Ability to manage multiple projects and have strong planning skills * Ability to communicate with employees in a 1 on 1 or group setting * Self motivated and willing to learn * Ability to handle confidential information professionally * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point * Ability to use measuring devices (digital calipers, micrometers, etc) * Ability to work in standard and metric units Physical Demands * Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently. * Must be comfortable in an industrial environment. * Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area. * Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes as required.
