Position Overview

A qualified industrial maintenance technician will be responsible for maintain and repairing the machinery and equipment used in our wood processing facility. Ensure the smooth and safe operation of our saws, chippers, planers, kilns, conveyors, and other machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair the machinery and equipment used in the wood processing facility following our safety policies for LOTO, such as saws, chippers, planers, kilns, conveyors, etc.
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, such as lubricating, adjusting, replacing, and troubleshooting parts.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Inspect and test the functionality and performance of the machines and equipment, and report any issues or defects.
  • Fabricate, modify, or install parts for machine upgrades and improvements, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with the production team and other technicians to ensure efficient and quality operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities, such as work orders, inventory, downtime, etc., through the work order system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
