Adecco US, Inc. PLC Control Technician - 3rd shift in Hazelwood, Missouri

I have an opportunity for a PLC Controls Technician in the Hazelwood, MO area. This is a 3rd shift position, 10pm to 6:30am or 11pm to 7:30am, Monday thru Friday, in a Manufacturing facility. Pay is $30/hour to $40/hour, based upon knowledge and experience, with a shift differential, staggered sign-on bonus and up to a 5% year-end bonus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot software programs for process control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet and (DeviceNet), motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.

• Assist in developing specifications for instrumentation, controls, and electrical components. Read and interpret software control logic, electrical diagrams, manuals, and drawings.

• Perform installation, maintenance, testing and calibration of transmitters, gauges, control valves, transducers, probes, level switches, pressure switches, temperature switches, flow meters, and associated equipment that send and receive data.

• Comply with arc flash, confined space, hot work, LOTO procedures and policies.

• Communicate technical issues and project timelines with leadership, operations, and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems.

• Work with shift maintenance mechanics on controls systems concepts and procedures.

• Working knowledge of computer software and control system applications used in a food process facility (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Opto22, Kuka, etc.).

• Associate's degree in electronic technology or related field or 3-5 years equivalent experience.

• Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Allen Bradley Studio 5000 PLC's and PLC components.

• Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Robotics system components and controls.

• Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and program AB HMI components.

• Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Motor Controls including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), DC drives, and standard electrical components.

• Industrial electrical distribution systems with hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 120/208/240vac 3-phase, 277/480vac 3-phase, and 24VDC systems.

• Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify multiple Industrial Ethernet networks and VLANs including cabling, unmanaged and managed switches, and all other associated devices.

• Willingness to work as part of a team and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • You need to have a strong industrial electrical background and PLC troubleshooting skills.

  • You must have at least 3 years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician.

  • You need to have experience with mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance.

  • At least 1 year of experience in PLC troubleshooting of processing/packaging machinery.

  • Plus, you must have basic understanding of the following: automated industrial machinery, which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, etc. and hydraulic and pneumatic systems; packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes

Pay Details: $62,400.00 to $83,200.00 per year
