Leadership Public Schools High School Cross Country Coach - Seasonal - (SY 24-25) in Hayward, California

Requirements prior to the first day of coaching:

NFHS Certification (First Aid, Health and Safety, and Fundamentals of Coaching)

CPR/First Aid Certification

Minimum Education Requirements:

High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) from an accredited institution

Experience Required:

Previous related coaching experience in the designated sport preferred

Knowledge of coaching fundamentals and development of coaching techniques

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Demonstrate the highest level of character and professionalism

Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Establish a culture with a high standard of conduct that is consistent with Leadership Public Schools

Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and uniforms

Understand and meet the needs of unique athletes and help athletes to achieve the highest potential

Establish safety guidelines, team goals, and objectives

Instill appropriate behavior at camp and team activities

Incorporate parents and guardians in their students’ performance by developing and maintaining collaborative relationships

Report any rule violations to administrators

Perform related duties as assigned
