We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Production Supervisor within our Specialty Foam Business Unitto help support our Beddingbusiness. As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of production and operations workers across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment.

So, what will you be doing as a Production Supervisor?

  • Plan work schedules, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain efficient operations

  • Monitor workflow, address variations from production schedules, and coordinate with other supervisors

  • Ensure employees have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their jobs effectively

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and enforce safety policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems and improve processes

  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and process orders to facilitate material flow

  • Perform quality checks and ensure adherence to standards and specifications

    To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in a related field preferred

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, order entry systems, and other relevant software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety
