Large metal fabricator located in the Hauppauge area is currently hiring for entry level welders or individuals who have an interest in learning the trade! Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment. Responsibilities

  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures for welding, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.

  • Assist in setting up welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding machine, and welding electrodes or wires for the job.

  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting pieces together according to specifications.

  • Learn and practice various welding techniques, such as MIG ,TIG, stick welding

  • Assist with different welding processes, including joining, cutting, and repairing metal components.

  • Assist in inspecting welded joints for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.

  • Develop skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to understand project specifications.

  • Help with routine maintenance tasks for welding equipment, such as cleaning and replacing consumable parts.
