ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB's Hauppauge, NY office is seeking a Transportation Intern to work on engineering programs and learn technical skills and computational software.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations
- Perform site visits/field data collection
- Assist with Preliminary and final design plans
- Assist with contract documents, including specifications
- Completion of engineer's estimates
- Prepare construction documents
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to independently manager multiple tasks
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering
Hiring Salary Range - $19/hr - $26/hr. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
