Currently hiring for a picker/packer for a local distrubutor of travel gear located in the Hauppauge area. Qualified candidates for this position will have prior experience working in picking/packaging and shipping and receiving. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fulfilling customer orders by selecting and packaging items for shipment.

  • This involves locating items within a warehouse based on picking lists.

  • Inspecting items for any damages, defects, or discrepancies before packaging them

  • Once items are picked, packers are responsible for carefully and efficiently packaging them according to specific instructions or guidelines.

  • Affixing shipping labels, barcodes, or other identification markers to packages.

  • Proper labeling ensures accurate delivery and tracking of shipments.

  • Keeping track of inventory levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.

  • Use of pallet jack to move pallets and receive incoming and outgoing shipments
