Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment at their primary Distribution Center. The technician will perform the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of the equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability and reduce unsafe conditions.

 

Hourly pay: $16.00 per hour

 

Essential Functions:

·

        

Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, production machines and forklifts in order to improve reliability.

·

        

Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time

·

        

Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications

·

        

Inspecting machinery to identify issues that may lead to unplanned downtime

·

        

Troubleshooting mechanical equipment and systems to maintain expected machine performance

·

        

Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation and safety of system.

·

        

Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

·

        

Diagnose and troubleshoot simple to complex mechanical issues.

·

        

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support our Distribution Center operations by providing a full range of multi craft equipment maintenance with focus on reliability.

·

        

Complete all internal reporting processes timely and accurately; adhere to all required protocols and procedures.

·

        

Effectively communicates with Conveyor/Forklift Maintenance Manager to ensure coordination of activities.

·

        

Communicate professionally with Distribution Center personnel and/or leadership as to the important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated time to complete the repairs or projects

·

        

Maintain current and accurate maintenance data to establish historical records and future maintenance requirements.

·

        

Maintains proper housekeeping expectations for work area, equipment, and tools

·

        

Ability to maintain confidential information

·

        

Ability to exercise sound judgement
