This position is for an Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Developer with an educational institution in Gulfport, MS. 

Summary: The Advanced Manufacturing Developer reports to the Associate Vice President of Community Campus and Career and Technical Education and is responsible building relationships with regional R1 institutions and industry in the areas of emerging technologies in Advanced Manufacturing under the NSF EPIIC grant. This position will be responsible for increasing MGCCC's capacity for external partnerships to meet the required outcomes for the NSP EPIIC grant and forming a Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) for at least one program area in Advanced Manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities: Create, nurture, and maintain relationships with local business/industry, regional research institutions, and economic development organizations in the MGCCC district to determine workforce and training needs while informing employers of MGCCC programs and services. Form a Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) in at least one MGCCC program area of Advanced Manufacturing, following the National Convergence Technology Center BILT model, and facilitate quarterly meetings. Attend the American Association of Community Colleges Workforce Development Institute annually. Work with MGCCC Institutional Research to perform a needs analysis with current and potential partners. Work with an NSF EPIIC cohort-level consultant to develop a framework for strategic planning in Advanced Manufacturing that will inform efforts to obtain internal and external funding and be scalable to other programs in the college. Meet with the NSF EPIIC cohort virtually and in-person as required by the NSF EPIIC grant. Travel to at least two institutions outside of the region in order to review emerging technology programs related to Advanced Manufacturing and learn about their partnership models and external funding strategies. Organize and convene a summit with current and potential partners in Advanced Manufacturing. Work with MGCCC Institutional Relations to produce and disseminate materials targeted to industry and community members to promote Advanced Manufacturing efforts. Work with other grant-funded efforts in Advanced Manufacturing to help facilitate partnerships. Assist with facilitating internships, apprenticeships, and mentoring relationships between students in Advanced Manufacturing programs and external employer partners. Assist in facilitating training programs that will create new partnerships for the College. Maintain all records and files related to project management in an organized manner in adherence with college policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with accountability system, including internal and external audits. Produce reports as needed for external partners. Utilize creative problem-solving skills as needed to stay relevant and meet the needs of external partners. Provide support and assistance in the acquisition and implementation of external grant programs and other special projects to support MGCCC partnerships in Advanced Manufacturing. Complete all project management tasks and special projects in an accurate and timely manner. Serve on college committees and councils as assigned. Represent MGCCC at conferences, seminars, and state Workforce meetings, as appropriate. Adhere to all MGCCC policies and procedures and participate in college activities. Be willing to work flexible hours as needed. Maintain an effective working relationship with college personnel, students, and the community. Upgrade skill level and performance through the College's Employee Development Program (EDP), at a minimum of 15 hours annually. Adhere to State, Federal, and Local laws and regulation. Champion the role the college plays in service to the community. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Community Campus and Career and Technical Education.

Education and Experience: Man atory Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Experience in higher education, workforce development, business engagement, or industry partnership coordination. Proficient computing skills in a networked environment, familiarity with basic Internet and e-mail, including Microsoft Office Applications. Superior written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated Record Keeping Skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred in advanced materials or emerging technologies. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Desirable Qualifications: Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Experience with Banner software. Experience with Customer Relationship Management software. Prior community college experience.
