Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Follow permit requirements to collect and test compounds and samples, using applied methods and techniques, and policies of this company

  • Enter quantities, volumes and analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview)

  • Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit.

  • Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs

  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.

  • Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment

Experience, Knowledge, and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 40-hour OSHA training with 8-hour refresher courses

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office or related software to draft laboratory reports and enter test results

Preferred :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and the ability to learn new processes
