JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, preventive and predictive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site\'s business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant\'s facility equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, repair, and replace parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Actively participates in Safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying to procedures, rules, and regulations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Experience in Maintenance required; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrates great interpersonal and communication skills and maintains effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to drive forklifts; man/scissor lifts and be willing to perform various tasks of height.
  • Basic blueprint and schematic reading skills
  • Ability to effectively work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible to both indoor and outdoor work.
  • Certificate in one or more related fields is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimal safety hazards; general requirements of an office environment.
  • Sitting; standing; walking throughout the facility; talking; seeing; hearing; feeling; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; reaching; kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional overnight travel when required to support customer or corporate meetings.
