The Institute is comprised of more than 300 physicians and advanced practice providers delivering care at HHC’s hospitals and clinical settings across Connecticut and Southwestern Rhode Island. Reporting to the Senior Director of Quality & Clinical Transformation, Heart & Vascular Institute, the Program Coordinator will be an instrumental part of growing and advancing quality and clinical transformation across the healthcare system’s cardiovascular service line and will be accountable for providing administrative and project support to the Institute’s Vice President of Quality & Safety/Senior Director Quality, Safety and Clinical Transformation and key leadership. The Program Coordinator provide project support by managing a variety of functional area projects and help advance quality and clinical transformation across the Institute while fostering and maintaining key relationships with physicians, clinicians and administrative leaders. The individual in this role will coordinate and organize meetings with internal and external stakeholders, lead the organization of key meetings by taking minutes and identifying follow-up items, prepare agendas and meeting material, and help keep project documentation cohesive and organized, as well as other responsibilities as necessary. Additionally, they will lead projects in areas (but not limited to) such as quality, operations (inpatient and outpatient) and performance improvement. _Position Responsibilities:_ Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility 1. Builds relationships and understand the needs of leaders and colleagues to provide efficient and effective administrative and project support for HVI Operations and Quality & Clinical Transformation, coordinates projects with internal and external stakeholders, manages communication with key stakeholders, assists with project progress tracking and status updates, and develops standards and processes to accomplish work 2. Works independently to support and/or lead special HVI Operations and Quality & Clinical Transformation projects as required by the functional area leader. Projects may include support council/ committee meeting materials, and as needed, minutes, reports, development of compelling presentations and talking points, compilation of high-level dashboards, standard work and policies/procedures. May require partnership with other key stakeholders within HHC or with external partners. Required support of such projects across the function provides wide variety of development opportunities. 3. Collates research findings and analyzes business data in an effort to establish and promote best practices within HVI Operations and Quality & Clinical Transformation . 4. Constantly seeks ways to improve departmental processes, products and policies.Creates and documents standard work to ensure effective process management strategies 5. Oversees organization of agenda and documents minutes, notes, key follow-up and action items to ensure continuity and progress for internal and external meetings and takes a lead role in preparation. 6.
