Description:

Position Purpose:
The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments, and other assigned areas.
What you will do:
Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed department guidelines.
Executes proper cleaning procedure as observed by the Supervisor following patient discharges.
Demonstrates efficient, cost-effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by the Supervisor.
Performs other special assignments, which may be assigned by the Supervisor or required by the needs of the Hospital.
Contributes to the philosophy of quality care and human dignity at the hospital.
Contributes to the effective operation of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
Physical Demands:
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma or (GED) preferred, not required.
Housekeeping experience preferred, not required.
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work alternate weekends & Holidays.
