Position Summary and Purpose: *Our Powder Metal Field Service Technicians enjoy working hands-on with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems that comprise our Powder Metal fabrication machines. This position will require an individual who is accustomed to *at least 75% travel. Technicians will provide customer and product service via preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by Cincinnati Incorporated. **Our Field Service Technicians are provided a company vehicle, paid training, and after the first year? eligibility for our Field Service Incentive Program!

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Technician for installation, modification and upgrading Powder Metals Control Systems
  • Respond to customer service inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with customer from order initiation through problem resolution whenever possible, to return customer to production in an expeditious manner.
  • Provide familiarization training to customer on control functions and operational systems
  • Effectively manage business expenses to maximize profitability

     

Education and Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • Five or more years related technical experience
  • Associate or technical degree (preferred)

     

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.

REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic principals  
  • Strong diagnostics and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to travel overnight at least 75%, at times
  • Superb Communication Skills with an emphasis on customer service

Physical demands:  This position is very active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing of ladders.  Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: The noise level in the work environment can be loud occasionally. This is a high travel position.
