The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Workforce Development Analyst 1 to join our team of professionals. This position gives you the opportunity to assist in the planning, analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation of workforce development programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs), fiscal agent functionaries, and subcontractors are in compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), as well as other federal and state workforce and financial laws, regulations, and policies. In order to ensure compliance, you will be completing on-site visits and desk reviews of reports and documents. You will also be responsible for evaluating administrative requirements for grants and payments and coordinating technical assistance to LWDBs to support state and local workforce development goals and objectives. You will have the opportunity to report ongoing activities in Pennsylvania to other agencies and states as well as interpret federal regulations and state policies while representing the Bureau of Workforce Development Administration at local, regional, state, and national conferences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. You will be required to report one day a month in office and for predetermined in person bureau/Unit meeting or trainings and other necessary operations.
