Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Operations Manager 2 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4378867 THE POSITION Do you have unemployment compensation (UC) and supervisory knowledge and experience? If so, the Department of Labor and Industry wants to hear from you. As an Unemployment Compensation Operations Manager 2, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both employer and claimant services. The duties of the position involve the planning, organizing, and managing all unemployment compensation operations and activities for both sections. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, who is self-motivated, and wants to make a difference.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate wage information for employees of Pennsylvania covered employers, the gathering and maintenance of wages earned by federal government and military employees, as well as the wages of employees working in other states for the purpose of determining the financial eligibility of those persons applying for UC benefits in Pennsylvania. This work also includes the payment of accurate weekly benefits to claimants and the collection and deposit of overpayment monies in the state treasury. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Working hours may change based on operational needs. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after the successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Unemployment Compensation Operations Manager 1; or Three years of experience in varied office management, supervisory or technical work which involved operations requiring a working knowledge acquired through continuous application of the provisions of the Unemployment Compensation Law; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
