We are looking for a talented computer science or data analytics student intern to help us analyze traffic safety management programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will assist with traffic management systems work such as performing data analysis, assist in the development of graphics and reports, assist in the development of scope and requirements for new analysis tools, and perform quality assurance work related to the 511PA, traffic camera video sharing system, and Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS). You will be able to gain valuable experience in Information Technology, Geology,  or any other scientific or technical related field.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements:

QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester. You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).

You must be at least 18 years of age. Special Requirement: Certain positions require verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
