Description

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Technical Product Manager to support Quality, Compliance and Labs technology functions for Innovative Medicines business globally. The QCL Technology team in partnership with the JJT Global Supply Chain organization has responsibility for delivery of an IT product portfolio that supports a variety of key Quality and Compliance products and provides outstanding customer experience across multiple channels within J&J Innovative Medicine (IM). This position can be based in Raritan, NJ, Horsham, PA or Remote in the U.S.

Working within an impactful team (HPT) environment, this role will have main responsibility for supporting/advancing QMS and digital capabilities related to Innovative Medicines strategic, operational and project activities. This role will report into IM Head of Technology for QCL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the product / platform vision, strategy and OKR’s for the applications being delivered, aligning business demand with the product/ platform roadmap.

  • Establish technology roadmaps to achieve efficient & effective delivery of business & customer value for assigned product / platform.

  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing features, optimizing cost and improving delivery efficiency.

  • Further refine the backlog by adding necessary technical features and epics; work with Suppliers and Product owners, with regard to supplier delivered capacity & architectural integration is understood.

  • Help Product Owners prioritize their backlogs, manage product / platform constraints and resolve cross-team dependencies; manage demand intake as required.

  • Work in close partnership with the Product Owner and Engineer roles to manage risks in backlog.

  • Define the standards for the product / platform, including overall design and features, development standards, release management processes and schedules, testing / validation, compliance and master data structures.

  • Drive selection of product / platform solution options, work with the Lead Engineer to assess tech elements of the solution prior to user testing and to balance tech debt.

  • Drive the Build versus Buy decisions.

  • Develop, in combination with engineering, and in consultation with BPM, the high-level solution, including packages adopted, modules to be crated, major interfaces, etc.

  • Manage effort to Technology Services schedule and financial budgets.

  • Facilitate Change Control and Risk Management Processes.

  • Drive continual measurement of capabilities against demand volume, complexity, business challenges and improvement within value stream(s).

  • Orchestrate product/platform -level team cadence (e.g., quarterly planning review).

  • Engage in an Office Operations role to process onboarding and off-boarding of stable team resources; implement necessary ISRM, Asset mgmt and other items.

  • Provide stable team support and point of escalation across all stages of the solution lifecycle to optimize value for assigned value stream(s).

  • Be accountable for cross-team communication.

  • Interact with other chapters, squads, vendors and product teams as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-squad tasks and ensure timely delivery; collaborate across Product/Platform Group to ensure all partners are clear on dependencies and enablers.

  • Coach POs on product management best practices to ensure consistency across the product.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, preferably in computer science, industrial engineering, business organization or equivalent.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in (Supply Chain/Quality).

  • Demonstrated ability in the life sciences or the healthcare industry.

  • Experience working in projects applying Agile methodology.

  • Experience leading product backlog and release plans preferably using JIRA.

  • Experience gathering requirements and translating into a product vision by leveraging their expertise in product development, engineering and UX.

  • Proven track record collaborating with business partners to translate needs into relevant technology platforms and solutions.

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to resolve problems, prioritize and balance multiple tasks.

  • Ability to stay up to date on technology trends to identify and evaluate new technologies that can be applied to pharma manufacturing.

  • Understanding of the software lifecycle and development process (SDLC), waterfall, agile and other SDLC methodologies.

  • Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance (QA) and compliance requirements such as FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11/Annex 11.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners and to lead and empower teams, set the vision, drive technology strategy and roadmap, and build strong relationships.

  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams to deliver software projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Technology/System Knowledge:

  • Cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • QMS (Quality Management System) systems/platforms such as Trackwise, ComplainceQuest, or SalesForce.

  • Asset Management tools such ServiceNow, SolarWinds, etc.

  • Integration middleware/iPaaS technologies such as MuleSoft or IBM API Connect.

  • DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

  • Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban and supporting tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Realtime Release IT infrastructure, including different types of systems, software, benefits, challenges, and regulatory requirements.

  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI).

Other:

  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Role may require up to 20% travel.

Anticipated Salary Range: $118,000- $203,550

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
