DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position functions as a Core HR Team Specialist within the Core HR Team, which is responsible for all aspects of the following functional areas: Organization Management, Personnel Administration, Benefits Administration, and Compensation Management.  This position is comprised of a technical nature and is concentrated in personnel administration and supports the other Core HR functional areas.

Within this role, you will work with the Core HR Team Lead, other Core HR Team Specialists, HR/Payroll/Travel Team Members and Manager, and the Business Process Owners to design, develop, implement, maintain, document, and support enterprise-wide HR applications.

We are looking for someone who exercises a comprehensive interpretation of rules, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements and is able to effectively navigate independence, initiative, and judgment in their execution of assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of professional work in a business operations area; or One year of professional work in a business operations area, and a bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, information systems or related field; or One year of technical work in the review and redesign of business processes and the configuration and design of enterprise software in an SAP environment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be a team player. You must be able to work independently and in team settings. You must have excellent communication skills, business process knowledge, and good documentation skills. You must be able to speak clearly and articulate issues and solutions to team members and supervisor. You must be organized and able to work in demanding complex situations. You must have a strong understanding of configuration, Human Resources processes, write detail functional specs, gather business requirements, design, development, testing and implementing solutions. You must have at least one full ERP life-cycle. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Professional work experience in human resources, system integrations, and business operations. Technical experience in the review and redesign of business processes and the configuration and design of enterprise software in an on-prem environment. Technical work experience in revi w and redesign of business processes and the configuration and design of enterprise software in a Cloud environment. Experience as an end user in an ERP system. Experience with project management. Experience in gathering business requirements to meet business needs. Experience in assisting customers with system processes and problem solving.
