Product Manager – Utility Billing Service Delivery

Oracle’s Local Government GIU has a proven track record of taking big solutions and making them best in class for local government customers. Our NetSuite for Government (NS4G) product has done exactly that with financials, now we’re doing the same with utilities.

The NetSuite for Government team is hiring an entrepreneurial product manager to deliver a best-in-class implementation and customer experience to our Utility Billing customers. This person will work closely with the Vice President of Products and the Utility Billing Product Manager to define an industry-leading implementation experience for small local government agencies adopting Oracle’s Utility Billing platform. This is an entrepreneurial role in a fast paced business unit. We are looking for someone who brings a first-principles problem solving approach, polished client engagement skills, and entrepreneurial SaaS experience to transform the way Oracle’s Utility Billing software is delivered to customers.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Rapidly develop product expertise on underlying billing technology, platform architecture, and baseline consulting methodology

  • Apply a first-principles approach to define an accelerated implementation methodology across product, engineering, and consulting for accelerated implementation of utility billing software

  • Implement Oracle’s industry leading utility billing solution for initial local government customers

  • Lead data migration projects for the first few utility billing customers while building data migration tools to accelerate future client implementations

  • Engage with the first few clients to drive projects to completion

  • Develop consulting collateral (project kick-off decks, data request templates, training materials, etc.)

  • Collaborate with engineering to develop software features to deliver accelerated implementation value proposition to our local government customers

  • Lead the development of fit-for-purpose implementation accelerators to scale customer adoption while driving productivity of consulting team

  • Provide strategic support to local government leadership team and develop recommendations on product pricing, packaging, and service delivery

  • Support utility billing product lead to develop adjacent modules such as customer portal, payments, ERP integrations, and paperless billing

Who you are:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. An MBA is not required but can be advantageous depending on accompanying work experience

  • Top-tier management consulting experience is strongly preferred

  • 4-8 years of relevant work experience including at least 2 years in management consulting

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing.

  • Strong client presence and ability to influence multiple stakeholders, manage complex projects, and deliver results within tight timelines

  • Knowledgeable about software-as-a-service (SaaS), modern software design and development principles, and emerging technology trends

  • Experience with financial software such as AR management software, ERP, etc. strongly preferred

  • 2+ years of experience working in a B2B SaaS organization is preferred

  • 3+ years of business, design, and tech acumen which enable productive discussions with sales, designers and engineers

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
