Required Skills:

Product Designer Responsibilities:

  1. Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for Meta's platforms, products, or applications.

  2. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.

  3. Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users’ changing needs.

  4. Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems.

  5. Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality.

  6. Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse.

  7. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.

  8. Contribute to strategic decisions with the product and executive teams.

  9. Ensure cohesive branding with the marketing team.

  10. Identify ways in which technologies can provide new functionality and better user experiences.

  11. Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment.

  12. Telecommuting permitted from any location in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or Programming, User Experience, User Interface Design, or a related field (or foreign equivalent). Requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following skills:

  2. Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features or products across a variety of platforms

  3. Interaction design including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs

  4. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography

  5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users

  6. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concept

  7. Defining product specifications and user experiences

  8. Conducting end-to-end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes

  9. Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making strategic design decisions based on impact to the company

  10. Partnering with cross-functional partners to drive product strategy with a user-centric approach leveraging design thinking methodologies and best practices.

$199,430/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits
