As a Principal Network Architect this role will be the primary SME for all network design and reference architectures. This role will be engaged with all IT to extract business requirements to develop and improve network, network security and cloud architectures. The role will be responsible for updating and maintaining network architecture and design pattern documents that is leveraged by the Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Network Engineer and Security teams. This role must also possess critical technology skills in all IT, but deep knowledge in Network, AWS, Azure, WAN and Infrastructure as Code. This role is responsible for helping business and IT leadership develop a strategy and 3-5- year roadmap for the global Cloud and On-Prem networks. Additionally lead business process and procedure design activities, end to end solution recommendations, network architecture, and technical guidance for the solution design, network integration and development in all the business platforms, including SAP Integrations, third-party B2B design, SaaS and Cloud. This individual will be responsible for defining the system architecture landscape, the master network segmentation structure, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive, high-performance end to end solution that meets all requirements, (process and procedure, data and technical) that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes. This role will also be responsible for making recommendations to the network engineering and operations for continuous improvement of business process and procedure design and system optimization and oversight of these platforms, including recommendations of integration with all IT platforms.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the development and implementation of IT Network strategy and develop a 3-year roadmap that is consistent with strategic objectives which delivers leading edge capabilities. Continuously review and adopt changes when necessary to ensure the network strategy is in alignment and will meet business needs and requirements of the overall business strategy and objectives.

  • Conduct IT network architecture, design and review sessions with senior management and their representatives to complete an analysis of business requirements, develop and recommend overall solution design that meets all business end state requirements and his in-line with strategic objectives.

  • Lead and drive large enterprise IT and Network projects. Gather business requirements, work closely with enterprise architecture and ARB process to design end state. Drive solution through implementation and operations process performed by many resources across IT including Network Engineering. These architectures should include defined, measurable workflows and visibility for the day to day operations of the network.

  • Maintain strong hands-on technology skills in Infrastructure as Code, routing BGP, WAN and security edge architectures. Responsible for level III escalations from global network team.

  • Oversee management of enterprise scale projects with global deployments from ideation phase to steady state environment, including test plans, user acceptance testing, deployment and support.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration (or higher) in an IT related field.

  • Minimum 15+ years of large enterprise IT experience required.

  • Minimum 15+ years of Network, Cloud design, implementation and operations.

  • Preferred 7+ years of Solution Architect experience.

  • Preferred 7+ years integration experience with other process areas.
