Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to buyer and vendor inquires related to status of import POs/shipments.

• Coordinate receiving priorities with the DCs.

• Responsible for TMS shipment creation for import POs.

• Maintain TMS/TMSi import data accuracy.

• Responsible for tracking import Purchase Orders.

• Responsible for monitoring shipment holds and assist with timely release.

• Works closely with the buyers to meet their shipment requirements

• Audit and approve Freight bills presented by various service providers

• Review and process weekly invoicing and statements of account.

• Create and maintain reports on container arrivals and inbound schedules.

• Addresses imports operations issues and respond to document requests as needed.

• Works closely with OCM, ocean carrier, drayage carrier, and DM partners when needed.

• Creates reports on import freight for the Management team.

• Maintain proper import records.

• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Follow and enforces compliance rules.

• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Higher education, including two to four year degrees related to business management preferred, but not required

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in import/export operations, international business, or another related field.

• Must have ability to work independently and work in team setting

• Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions required

• Effective communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are required

• Intermediate working experience in AS400 and Excel and other MS Office programs

• Able to work in a fast paced and detail-oriented environment

• Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended period at a desk

• Ability to work on computer for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may be evenings and weekends.
