We need students with a passion for Pennsylvania's rich history. Did you know that PennDOT's Bureau of Design and Delivery has a program dedicated to documenting and accounting for historical resources as part of the statewide transportation planning and design process?  Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Historic Preservation, American Studies, and Public History students are encouraged to apply!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The chosen interns will be responsible for aiding in the completion of data entry tasks pertaining to historical districts and structures. This particular assignment will necessitate a high level of expertise in identifying agricultural districts and making necessary corrections to bridge data. These two components play a crucial role in the field of transportation design, making this internship an invaluable opportunity for students to gain practical experience in this specialized area.

The chosen interns will be responsible for aiding in the completion of data entry tasks pertaining to historical districts and structures. This particular assignment will involve assisting in the identification and documentation of historic landscapes and data related to historic bridges.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 8:00 am to 3=4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).

You must be at least 18 years of age. Special Requirement: Certain positions require verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License Additional Requirements:
