DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Director of Technology (IT) is a key role within the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange Authority (PHIEA), known as Pennie, which is an independent state agency. The work of this position focuses on maintaining and enhancing the IT capabilities required for Pennie staff to fulfill the mission and strategic goals of the organization. The position is responsible for ensuring the stability and functioning of the core Exchange platform, including timeliness and quality of releases, as well as managing program data with actionable and accurate reports to inform decision-making processes. Furthermore, this role identifies, acquires, and maintains solutions for other business needs apart from the core exchange platform.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Periodic travel in-state and out-of-state may be required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Seven years of professional experience in IT resource management consulting, policy analysis, project management, budgeting, and procurement, including 5 years in a managerial capacity supervising technical teams, and a bachelor's degree in computer science, Management, Computer or Business Information Systems or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes seven years of professional information technology experience and five years in a managerial capacity supervising technical teams. Additional Requirements: You must be a Pennsylvania resident. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
