Reference #: 3008760 Summary/ Objective: The Field Service Specialist plays a crucial role in creating value by facilitating the needs of the customer's job site. This includes but is not limited to ordering material, receiving material at the job site, providing material coordination, and agile construction practices at the job site. This individual is an important liaison between sales and operations. This person demonstrates all safe work practiced and delivers results that meet/exceed customer expectations. Essential Functions: Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives Complete returns from the job site Maintain job site inventory Complete product requests through ordering, receiving, and shipping Conduct product inspection, and storage at the job site Flexible and adaptable, as priorities may change on short notice Work closely with Inside Sales and Purchasing Provide customer service and support as the main contact between Schaedler Yesco and job site personnel Build relationships with job site personnel Clean, stock and remove excess material/debris from work areas Deliver parts to needed areas of the site Receive and distribute deliveries as needed Keep work areas clean and orderly Deliver, unload, and stage materials on the site as needed Competencies/Success Factors: Ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the job site Ability to learn, grow, and adapt to change Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and customers Execute duties with the highest regard for safety, continuous improvement, and cost reduction Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment Strong work ethic with a positive attitude Excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving ability Ability to analyze workload and establish priorities with time-sensitive deadlines Self-motivated Dependable Detail orientated Focused Dedicated to continuous improvement Supervisory Responsibility: This position is a non-supervisory role Work Environment: This job operates primarily in an outdoor setting with the balance of the time split between visiting various branches/warehouses and attending meetings. The Construction Field Specialist will be required to visit projects on various types of construction sites. When at job sites you may be exposed to varying temperature conditions depending on the location of the job site and associated weather. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently Ability to operate lift truck equipment Ability to work an extended shift to complete work tasks as needed Ability to stand and walk for long periods Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Travel: Local and regional travel is required to meet the demands of the position. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position.
