Reference #: 4362891 THE POSITION The Audit Manager is responsible for the Central Audit Division's achievement of operational integrity, strategic objectives, and performance measures through the planning and supervision of staff and program performance.  This is a supervisory position, responsible to manage and direct several audit teams conducting performance audits, professional non-audit services, and attestation engagements.  This position provides significant consideration and input, ensuring the compliance of best practice standards.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Audit Manager will be responsible for managing staff in the completion of performance audits, attestation engagements, and professional non-audit services engagements to provide assurance on the fiscal and operational integrity of entities, departments, agencies, bureaus, and programs throughout the Commonwealth.  These engagements most often focus on internal controls, program compliance, and general information technology (IT) controls.

The candidate will be responsible for project managing multiple ongoing projects across their team.  Specific responsibilities include ensuring timely completion of projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and developing staff members.  The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively by leading meetings with auditees or comptroller operations management and conveying complex ideas in writing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You may have the option for alternate work schedule (AWS) upon completion of the probationary period.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year experience as an Audit Specialist Supervisor, Auditor Supervisor, or Audit Specialist 3; or

Three years of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work including or supplemented by one year of supervisory accounting or account auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting, and three years of auditing experience including or supplemented by one year supervisory accounting or accounting auditing experience.
