Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a full time Assistant Director of Recreational Therapy during day hours. Previous skilled nursing experience or long term care is required. Responsibilities will include plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the Recreation Therapy Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, our established policies and procedures,and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical,mental,and psychosocial well- beingg of each resident. assisting the Activity Director in the development, organization, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive therapeutic recreation services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each client.

The Assistant Director of Recreational Therapy will also complete required documentation, assist with planning and leadership of special events, and maintain activity department supplies and equipment. We are seeking an individual who has a passion for working with seniors at a long term care facility. Someone who is creative, outgoing, and motivational to our customers in activities and events. A wholehearted individual whose interests lie with our customers and meeting the recreation program and service needs of each customer.

Assistant Director of Recreational Therapy Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a social or recreational program coordination preferred

  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively to our customers and families and to work coop

  • Long-term care experience preferred

  • Activity Director Certification (ADC) required
