Join the esteemed team at River Oaks Hospital, a leading 126-bed psychiatric facility located in Harahan, LA, a quaint suburb near the vibrant city of New Orleans. We are actively seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to enhance our Inpatient Child and Adolescent Programs. Known for our specialized care, River Oaks Hospital boasts a rich 40-year legacy of addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including acute psychiatric conditions, dual diagnoses, substance detoxification, trauma, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. Our facility is celebrated for hosting The New Orleans Institute, a nationally recognized trauma treatment program.

Job Overview:

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a Psychiatrist interested in shaping the future of mental health care for children and adolescents. The position features a competitive base salary complemented by an enticing bonus structure, a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision insurance, 401K, stock options), along with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. In addition, we provide malpractice insurance, ample paid time off, and support for continuing medical education (CME).

Key responsibilities include conducting admission evaluations, overseeing daily patient care, leading multidisciplinary treatment teams, and collaborating closely with our skilled administrative and clinical staff. The role is designed to ensure a balanced workload, including shared on-call duties, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.

  • Requires an active or eligible Louisiana (LA) medical license.
