Overview:

Actalent has an immediate internal opening for a Sr. Communications Specialist at our Global Headquarters in Hanover, MD !

Schedule:

  • Internal | Permanent

  • Full Time | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Hybrid | 4 days in-office, 1 day remote

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Salary: $68,000 - $80,000

  • Bonus Potential: $5,500 Annually

  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, 401(k), PTO (20 days + 6 Holidays), Profit Sharing, etc.

Job Summary

The Internal Communication Specialist plays a critical role in helping employees understand company strategy, goals and objectives through effective communication that informs, inspires and motivates employees. As a member of the Internal Communications team, the specialist serves as a partner to key functional leadership, providing support, feedback and guidance on key communication initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with a variety of internal clients and functional leaders to provide communication support for strategic business priorities including the development and execution of communication plans

  • Develop message sets aligned to the company strategy and develop communication collateral including presentations, talking points, emails, and e-news

  • Develop and execute content and communication strategy for the company intranet, while providing guidance and oversight of other content managers consistent with intranet protocols

  • Gather and summarize employee feedback on communication effectiveness

  • Plan and develop communication strategies for organizational initiatives and projects

  • Manage and ensure accuracy of distribution lists of key audiences across the company - utilizing a technology

  • Support and help maintain key communication channels, including employee newsletters, video library, Chatter and more

Minimum Education / Abilities / Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in communication or related major preferred

  • 5 year+ work experience in communications; must be able to showcase communications-related skills and knowledge

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure

  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills

  • Technology savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Live

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to understand complex business information and effectively communicate key messages to and on behalf of all levels of business management and staff

  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment that values creativity, self-motivation, candor, reliability and accountability

Travel Requirement

  • Some travel required for meeting support (2-4 times per year)
