GovCIO Sr Business Analyst in Hanover, Maryland

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Lead Business Analyst to that will be responsible for analyzing business processes and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate the design and implementation of IT solutions. This position will be located in Hanover, MD and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

Leads a team of Business Analysts. Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems. They have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that customer. Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows.

  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process diagrams, use cases, and functional requirements.

  • Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out.

  • Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.

  • Requires general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.

Qualifications

High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Active Secret

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.

  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, analysis, and management.

  • Proficiency in solution assessment and validation.

  • Proficiency in business process analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and / or AWS Cloud Services.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, and Office Suite.

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile Scrum, Kanban and / or Lean Six Sigma.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
