Jacobs Java Developer - Hanover, MD - TS/SCI w/Poly in Hanover, Maryland

Your Impact:

This group of high-performing developers and engineers is shaping the modernization of geolocation products supporting the warfighter. You'll be exposed to multiple discipline areas such as UI, front-end, back-end and/or full-stack development, and algorithm development. This team is creating a next generation product, incorporating, and improving legacy capabilities, and working directly with the user base to improve the user experience and ensure new features and capabilities exceed expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new capabilities, primarily in Java, including the integration of components and Common Services libraries.

  • Manage existing software baseline and sustain operational systems as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Experience with Google Proto Buffs

  • Experience with infrastructure messaging (i.e., ITX)

  • Experience with Enterprise Java development

  • Experience developing service-oriented architectures

  • Experience developing micro service solutions

  • Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL

  • Knowledge of parameters and values represented in cellular communications

Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI w/Poly

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

  • 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • 14 years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

Preferred:

  • Experience with Enterprise Java development

  • Experience developing service-oriented architectures

  • Experience developing micro service solutions

  • Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL

  • Knowledge of parameters and values represented in cellular communications
