Continental Product Owner Remote Access Service (m/f/d) - REF57704R in Hannover, Germany

To support and enable Continental's continuous development of secure and state of the art infrastructure services, we are looking for a Product Owner to take over the responsibility of the global Remote Access Service as well as project management for service-related activities within our Connectivity Services portfolio. The remote access service for Continental employees is currently offered at 17 locations with a total capacity of 120,000 simultaneous connections/users. The Product Owner Remote Access Service follows the main principles and design patterns of any modern, scalable, flexible and resilient infrastructure and is a central contact between Networking, global customers at Continental and external partners. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a highly qualified team, setting off in the direction of DevOps, Zero Trust Network Access and agile working.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible as IT partner and IT provider on a global level for the remote access service, incl. service design, operations and improvements for customers (e.g., G IT infrastructure, business units, divisions, group)

  • Evaluate and/or extends the solution architecture based on technical requirements and alignment with the overall IT (cyber security) strategy

  • Support the contract design and provider selection in the area of responsibility

  • Create and adjust service strategy and outlook for his / her services in alignment with the overall Connectivity Services and Zero Trust strategy as well as specific technology innovations and trends

  • Manage and coordinate service operations with internal and external support providers, including escalation management

  • Run a sustainable demand management process aligned with stakeholders, customers, and management

  • Optimize the service with continuous service improvement from technical, process and user experience side

  • Verify and ensure service and process quality according to stakeholder requirements

  • Manage projects and take over work packages in Connectivity Services and cross-divisional projects

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics, IT specialist for system integration or similar educational background

  • Several years of work experience in IT service management e.g.: as service/application/product owner, project management or related areas.

  • Knowledge in the networking area: network topologies, IP protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, IPSec, SSL, VPN, DNS), dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)

  • Good understanding of remote access and zero trust network technologies and the operation of global services

  • Experiences in managing external providers

  • Experience in working with Group Cybersecurity on infrastructure or application security compliance and remediation. (e.g.: Risk Acceptance, Security Configuration Baseline)

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)

  • Willingness to travel (approx. 10%)

  • Customer-oriented, passionate, result-driven work style

  • Good communication & change management skills and intercultural sensitivity

  • Knowledge in agile frameworks, ITSM processes and DevOps (automation, infrastructure/configuration as code) activities

  • Eagerness to learn and develop

  • Experience in automation for on-premise and virtual environments (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is a plus

  • Experience managing software-as-a-service solutions is beneficial
