Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Estimator with our client in the Utility / Energy industry located in Hancocks Bridge, NJ. This is a for this 6+ month contract job opportunity.
Description:
The Project Estimator will provide project related estimating services to the field of construction projects (civil, mechanical, electrical). This requires an individual with a strong will to learn estimating practices who brings a good understanding of engineering basics, project management, and construction methods. This position acts in a consulting and collaborative fashion with the Project Team and subject matter experts to review and understand new project designs, installation strategies, and risk mitigation. This is a hybrid position which requires working on site 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing reliable project cost estimates at various levels of certainty
- Reviewing project scope and risks to develop mitigation costs
- Evaluating installation and constructability options
- Consulting with various project team members
- Support interface with various vendors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical discipline)
- Demonstrated self-starting skills and ability to work both independently and with a team
- 5+ years of construction estimating or project management experience
- Good understanding of project management processes
- Ability to prepare cost estimates from basic one-line diagrams and conceptual level engineering design information
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Perform field walkdowns for project installation work scope review
Desired Skills:
- Industrial, Manufacturing or PowerPlant experience
Compensation: W2 hourly rate range between $50 and $60. Rates can vary depending on your experience, years, and type of experience.
W2 Status:
