Raytheon Tactical Data Link Administrator in Hampton, Virginia
Raytheon IIS is seeking a Tactical Data Link Administrator to perform as a senior technical participant on the Air Force’s Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment. As a Tactical Data Link Administrator, candidate will design, integrate, document, secure, and test Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems in support of customer requirements along with other customer needs and wants. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: •Apply Tactical Data Link theory. •Apply operational employment and usage of Tactical Data Link systems. •Ability to administer and maintain Tactical Data Link systems. •Proficient in the understanding and implementation of MIL-STD 6016 Required Qualifications & Skills: •Active Secret Clearance •Have a working knowledge/hands on experience with datalink systems as an operator and administrator. •Have familiarity with sample gateways include Joint Area Defense System Integrator (JADSI) JADSI, Joint Range Extension (JRE), Tactical Receive Segment (TRS), Global Broadcast System (GBS), Combat Track II (CTII) PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS Desired experience in the following Tactical Data Link gateways: •Joint Area Defense System Integrator (JADSI) Joint Range Extension (JRE) • Familiar with TDL communications, power supplies, encryption devices, and commercial and militarized documentation. • Experience in the creation and modification of step-by-step repeatable installation manuals in a military environment. • Have familiarity with sample Terminals to include PRC-117G, URG-III, MIDS-J, LVT 11, LVT II • Be experienced as a Windows, Solaris, and RHEL system administrator. • Exhibit an understanding and implementation of STIG or other Information Assurance controls. • Possess a detailed understanding of interfaces and configuration requirements for AOC WS interoperability. • Understanding and proficiency in using the following products: Tactical Receive Segment (TRS), Global Broadcast System (GBS), Combat Track II (CTII) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree with six years of experience or work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
