HAMPTON-DUMONT-CAL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Head Girls Wrestling Coach Qualifications: Current Iowa Coaching License or Authorization Reports to: Activities Directors and High School Principal Supervises: Entire Program, grades 7-12 Job Goal: Build excellence every day within the athletic program by developing athletes in the areas of physical growth, mental strength, and good citizenship while prioritizing learning, acting with integrity and respect, and collaborating with invested parties. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate well and build personal and professional relationships amongst stakeholders including but not limited to, administration, activity coordinator, leadership council, teachers, other coaches, parents, participants, and booster club representatives. Be knowledgeable in the sport he/she is coaching. Identify and apply ethical conduct and behavior. Provide a safe environment for practices and competitions. Manage other necessary responsibilities related to the position including: Follow proper procedures for purchasing equipment. Follow proper procedures for fundraising. Cooperate in sharing facilities. Tend to all required forms and information for the participation of athletes. Submits a pre-season/post-season roster along with award winners to the Activity Coordinator and/or athletics secretary. Work with all coaches within the program in the areas of supervision of athletes and professional development of the coach, as well as to conduct a post-season evaluation for each member of the coaching staff. Supervise inventory and check-out of all program equipment prior to and post-season. Make all contacts with the news media as to pre-season reports, game results, and statistics. Support all athletic and activity programs at H-D-CAL High School and Middle School. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary and benefits to be determined by the Master Contract and based on professional experience. EVALUATION Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Activities Director and High School Principal.
