JOB TITLE: Assistant Business Unit Accountant
LOCATION: Delta Park, Segensworth
JOB SUMMARY
To assist in the preparation of month end reporting and budget/forecasting for UK operations. This role will report to the Snr Business Unit accountant and be part of the UK Operations finance team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accountable for the monthly preparation of UK Packaging & Distribution volume data
Accountable for the monthly reconciliation of UK Packaging & Distribution headcount data
Monthly preparation and posting of salary & temporary labour transfer journals
Accountable for the monthly preparation and posting of facility overhead allocation journals
Accountable for the monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Posting of prepared monthly ad-hoc journals
To work with the wider UK Logistic Finance team to assist in the accurate and timely reporting of financial results
Accountable for the electronic scanning & filing of all month end posted journals
Responsible for the preparation and distribution of departmental forecast template files
Responsible for the uploading of completed and reviewed forecast template files
Responsible for the timely completion of quarterly fixed asset verifications
Responsible for the co-ordination of CEA (Capital Expenditure Authorisation) sign offs
Responsible for the completion of Capital Projects commissioning documentation & transferal to the Financial Accounting team
Responsible for the completion of Fixed Asset Disposal documentation and sign off
To perform any other duties as required.

A high level of computer literacy is required, especially in the use of integrated financial databases
Accomplished user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Previous experience of a Corporate environment is desirable
Working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act

- Newly qualified or Part qualified CIMA/ACCA
