30 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 05/20/2024 - 09/06/2024.

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor; work varies depending on the farm location. Duties may vary depending upon the weather and what crop is being tended. Crops include - Blueberries, Sweet corn, cucumbers, eggplant, green and yellow summer squash, green and specialty peppers, purple top turnips and grasses. Nursery High tunnel Greenhouse: Work can range from filling trays and filling pots while planting seeds. Workers will water and take care of crops being grown in the Nursery High Tunnels Greenhouse. Planting: Work can range from seeding propagating the crop to transferring full- sized plants into fields. The workers may place seed, seedlings, plants into soil via seeding transplanting machinery or into manually dug holes. Some crops will require manual wooden stakes placed into the ground and continual maintenance of string to hold up the crops. Hand Harvest: Working as a group, the vegetables will be harvested into a basket and sometimes transfer into bins and pass to the end of the row. Workers may be required to use a knife or sheer to harvest certain crops. Picking Machine Operator: The workers will drive the picking machines, ride on the back of the picking machine, remove full crates from the machine and stack them onto the truck or carts. Replacing full crates on the machine with an empty cart. Packing: The workers will pack products harvested from the field into boxes, bags, or bins depending on which crop is picked that day. Work also includes making crates or boxes, washing harvesting bins or baskets used in the field, using a pallet jack, moving products with defects out of production and cleaning equipment after packing concludes. Drivers: Any employee that operates a passenger vehicles or heavy machinery must have a valid United States or Mexican Drivers License. Driving includes bringing the harvested product from the field into the designated packing house. Driving also includes operation heavy machinery such as picking machines and or tractors. Tractor work includes, disking of fields, cultivating, subsoiling, towing wagons, brush cutting, mowing, mulching, and fertilizing of fields. Field Maintenance: Work Includes general repairs and maintenance of any plastic mulch in the rows that require it. May include the use of a shovel, pulling drip tape, plastic, or irrigation sub main after an individual fields harvest is completed.
