As an SMT Operator at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by setting up, operating, basic maintenance, and data recording of automated assembly (SMT) Equipment. Operate/Monitor automated equipment per established IFS/Pole Zero guidelines. Tear-Down Feeders per established IFS / Pole Zero WI guidelines. Manipulate and/or make minor changes in programming of auto assembly equipment. Perform basic maintenance activities on the auto assembly equipment. Maintain accurate machine operation logs on a daily basis. Complete data recording/reporting activities for manufacturing control processes (via the ERP system or off-line). Optimize machine setups for efficiency and maximize equipment capabilities. Communicates and coordinates as necessary with other Teams (Materials, Planning, Purchasing, etc) to facilitate an efficient operation. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Include: Knowledge of surface mount components required. This includes the ability to identify caps, IC's capacitors, diodes, resistors, etc. Must be able to read a parts list, gather components and appropriately assemble the parts to the product by accurately interpreting the drawing. Good mechanical aptitude skills - ability to pass the Bennett Mechanical Test with the minimum score of 35/68 required. Above average computer skills needed in order to be able to process assemblies thru the SMT Line. Working knowledge of IPC-610-A and a J-STD-001 certification, which may obtained will be required. Be able to conduct daily work operations with minimal supervision. Be able to prioritize daily work operations by working with the schedules and planning resources. Be able to effectively communicate with planning personnel, supervision and other department associates. Requirements Include: High school diploma or GED required. At least three years of experience with Juki 3010L/3020L or comparable surface mount machine required. Previous lead/supervisor experience
