From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.

The Hamilton (Trenton) NJ office has an immediate opening for an Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer, or Geologist with 0 to 2 years of experience to work on environmental assessment and remediation projects. Part of a highly experienced team that enjoys mentoring and training new staff.

Job Description:

Entry level candidate looking to get into the environmental site assessment and remediation field. This position is 50-75% field work based on skill sets working at project sites across New Jersey. The qualified candidate will work in a team environment receiving hands on training. Must be willing to work both independently and as a team member. The candidate will work with a team of scientists, geologists, engineers and NJ LSRPs, to collect, compile and analyze data to progress sites through the regulatory process in New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:

Groundwater Sample Collection in the field.
Soil sample collection and oversight of subcontractors.
Diligent field data collection and note taking.
Data compilation and analysis.
Technical report writing.


Required Skills:

4 year degree in environmental science, geology, or related engineering degree
0-2 years' experience in the environmental field working on a large complex environmental assessment / remediation site


Preferred Skills:

Ability to work on various task depending on skill sets (Ground water sampling, soil sampling, well install, project recovery, remedial system O&M, construction management, design, various remedial actions, ecological evaluations, data evaluation, and report writing)
Ability to work independently and in team situations.
Valid drivers license
OSHA 40 Hour Cert preferred
