Basic Requirements:

  • Ensures timely, safe food service to customers, plates and serve foods, and stocking of foods.
  • Washing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and rack dishes.
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment and the facilities.
  • Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively. Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and stocking all food service areas.

  • Responsible for knowing their areas' menu, service standards and procedures.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers effectively and works to meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Demonstrates adherence to NMHS' Mission, Vision and Values Statement and to Service Excellence Standards and serves as a role model to staff.

Communications:

  • Assists in effective communication throughout the department.
  • Strives to meet our all internal and external customer's needs and expectations.

Budget:

  • Assists in helping management meet budget. Must use food and supplies wisely.
  • Uses their time wisely and adheres to the lunch and break schedule.

Safe Food Handling and Sanitation:

  • Follows proper food safety procedures and properly documents required monitors.
  • Actively participates in FNS's HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Program.
  • Cleans and sanitizes of all areas to meet the State Board of Health Standards.
  • Assists in the keeping assigned HACCP monitors and all other departmental documents. Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions.
  • Prior food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to be able to read and write English is desirable.
