What you’ll be doing

As a Credit Analyst you will assist Relationship Managers in the preparation of credit communication and manage loan maturity lists and irregularities mentioned in the Return of Irregular Liabilities (RIL) report. You will liaise with various internal partners such as Business Contact Centre, the Credit Processing Services, Client Sales Support, Relationship Managers and clients in the preparation of letters of credit, Visa Enterprises, etc.

You will actively identify credits about to expire, review lists with relationship managers and obtain/track copies of all necessary financial data and other documents stipulated in the credit agreement. After receiving these, complete any other preparatory documents to facilitate annual renewal/review.

In this role, you will manage the portfolio of accounts on a daily basis, in collaboration with relationship managers, including explanations of irregularities raised in the RIL. Participate in the loan administration processes in place and also comply with all applicable Bank and industry policies, guidelines and controls, including ensuring that all mandatory training is completed.

How you’ll succeed

  • Client Engagement – Service the financial needs of clients in partnership with the Manager(s) and coordinate transactional needs of clients. Assist Commercial Banking clients with their requests during times when the Manager is not available and promptly resolve customer issues and/or concerns.

  • Problem Solving – Listen, inquire, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues and understanding when to lean on others to find solutions.

  • Organizational Skills – Assist the Manager by preparing client files using tools necessary, coordinating processes and paperwork with internal and external service providers, assist with preparation of credit files and maintenance to audit standards to provide the ideal client experience

  • Compliance - Ensure consistency and completion of all operational processes relating to AML and GRLR and identify non-compliance areas, document, and execute corrective actions. Manage ad hoc client requests ensuring all required operational compliance issues are addressed.
