Eaton Corporation Supplier Quality Supervisor in Haina, Dominican Republic

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS PCD division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assure customer satisfaction through our Quality System; accountable for quality performance by monitoring Quality related metrics, conducting Quality Assessments. Making improvements in the quality procedures, and develop innovations to improve productivity and reduce product costs.

Attain quality goals, assure quality plans are implemented and drive results accomplishment. Deploy the applicable EQS elements and initiatives of EBS to accomplish the established goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Administer the plant supplier Quality program for internal and external suppliers, to maintain required purchased parts Supplier Quality levels for RWDD Haina location.

  2. Responsible to establish and develop supplier quality process, cost out and process improvement projects to attain plant goals and improve the quality level.

  3. Responsible to conduct Supplier Quality Assessments (SQA’s) and follow up on the resulting corrective actions (CAR’s) or opportunities for improvements (OFI’s).

  4. Lead the Supplier Quality activities on any New Product Introductions and transfers as per the PROLaunch Project guidelines.

  5. Propose and implement improvements in the processes to guarantee the fulfillment of Supplier related to EQS Policies such as PR-5 Internal PPAP/FAI and PR-6 Supplier Quality Management.

  6. Participate in Internal ISO 9001 audits to assure compliance of the RWDD Haina Quality System and give follow up to the Supplier QA area findings and observations /Opportunities for improvement (OFI’s).

  7. Analyze the suppliers complaints (including metrics trends),assure that our suppliers develop containment and corrective action plan which are documented through WISPER; maintain the communication process between supplier, external and internal customers.

  8. Coordinate/Supervise the functions-task of the Quality Assistant for RWDD Haina facility and provide guidance and coordination as required to the Supplier Quality Technician / Incoming Inspection Technicians on key supplier activities and priorities.

  9. Maintain Supplier Capability processes, according to EQS criteria. Require and follow up actions plans with the suppliers that are not in compliance.

10.Assure customer satisfaction through Supplier quality system, establishing, monitoring and maintenance in compliance with ISO9001

11.Monitor and improve the metrics that impact Supplier Quality indicators such as: Warranty, Supplier Scrap (within the plants), Supplier Quality PPM, PPAP Cycle times, DMR metrics, Hold area inventory, etc.

12.Ensured that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.

2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):

  1. Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator.

  2. Assure that any vendor or material qualifications comply with established MESH Policies and Procedures

  3. Assist to all EHS training assigned.

  4. Promote and promulgate all MESH Process and Policies to all the employees under his/her supervisor and ensure that they are being performed at his/her area / manufacturing line.

  5. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical or electromechanical engineering, or other related science.

a. Preferable Post grade degree in Quality, Productivity, engineering or others related science.

  1. 5 years in similar positions.

  2. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish)

  3. PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Minitab, Access, and AS400.

  4. Knowledge: Lean Tools, 6 Sigma and SPC.

  5. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (Lead Auditor is a plus)

  6. Pro-Launch tools (preferably)

  7. Competencies: Gets Results through Self & Others, Digital Mindset, Build Organizational Capability, Thinks & Acts Strategically
