Conagra Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift in Hagerstown, Maryland

Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM-10:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.19 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

Conagra Brands in Hagerstown, proud makers of Gardein, is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our 2nd shift team. You will join a team of about 250 and will report to the QA Supervisor.

Schedule:

2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 2:00pm - 10:30pm | You will need to be available for possible weekend work.

Starting Pay:

$22.19/hour + $1/hour shift differential | Your wage will increase over time!

Essential duties:

  • You can work flexible shifts; overtime and weekends may be necessary, to provide support to the plant operations during lab tech absenteeism and vacation coverage

  • You can walk, stand, bend, lift up to approximately 40 pounds, climb, twist, and stack.

  • You can work well in team settings and work with multiple different departments (operations, maintenance, corporate departments, outside vendors)

  • You can follow basic direction and make decisions based on company specifications. Must be comfortable identifying differences based off given specifications and notifying management when such differences are found

  • You will prepare and maintain microbiological laboratory testing reagents and equipment.

  • You will perform tests to ensure our quality standards are met.

  • You will input data into computer to maintain a permanent record of all finished analyses.

  • Plant contains two allergen and several sensitizing agents which you will be subject to. Sensitizers include Sulfites. Allergens include Wheat, Soy, Barley (Canadian regulations), Sulfites (Canadian Regulations).

  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Food manufacturing experience

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
