Eaton Corporation System Architect - Firmware in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

The Architect will be involved in defining the firmware architecture, which will be suitable for the overall product portfolio, design & development of embedded projects encompassing HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), OS adoptors, BSP (Board support packages), middleware libraries, awareness of industrial protocols, cybersecurity feature implementation and to the development of a shared, reusable, secure, scalable Software.

• Having a good understanding of digital and analog circuit designing, circuit analysis & simulations, defining scripts for automation, . Its responsibility of a Specialist to Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development.

• Collaborate with global product management & engineering team to prepare Digital roadmap for ESS products.

• Prepare the Architecture suitable for all ESS products considering customer needs, market trends and future opportunities.

• Lead a global team of SMEs on project, process, and overall technical execution on hardware & firmware development activities of product development.

• Guide project teams on technical challenges and act as an approving autority for IoT projects.

• Drive technology innovation in the IoT space across different locations of ESS engineering.

• Digital architect should be proficient with different elements of hardware and firmware development like technology, tools and practices, and have capabilities in quickly learning and developing a large set of communication protocol technologies, languages C, C++ and concurrent software development.

• Advanced Hardware/Firmware Debugging Skills

• Develops an understanding of both technology and product concepts and is able to articulate product and software design. Ensures quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model.

• Own the solution and code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. (15+ Years) in EnTC

Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of Electronics Components (Active, Passive & custom parts) & their applications, PCB manufacturing and assembly

  • Hands on experience of Product development life cycle on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification

  • Proficiency in C and C++ Demonstrated knowledge of Embedded development with designing different products based on 16 / 32 bit microcontrollers & microprocessors, running OS like RTOS & Linux.

  • Experience with GPIO, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN and Ethernet peripherals and protocols is desirable

  • Sound knowledge of the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly.

  • Knowledge of EMI/C, rectifying the problems and resolving the challenges

  • Sound knowledge on electronic component fabrication technology and their performance curve.

  • Skilled in writing specifications and end-user documentation

  • Experience with Altassian software like JIRA and JAMA is preferable
