Eaton Corporation Lead Designer - Electrical in Hadapsar, India

Job Summary :

The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide professional front end systems support with minimal direction to prepare all necessary electrical drawings including, but not limited to, one line layout, Schematic, overall layout and connection details for complex assemblies from customer specifications and information; perform a wide variety of activities requiring the application of more complex drafting principles and related technical knowledge. Develop best practices working closely with teammates from Eaton India Innovation Center (Pune) and various EESS facilities in North America for front end operations.

•Responsible in understanding customer requirements and mechanical drawings, preparing the general arrangement drawing, Schematic, Single line, three line and Wiring Diagram.

•Work with engineering peers as well as cross-functional personnel to ensure custom designs meet customer expectations

•Ensure adherence to basic international standards understanding for designing /drafting of electrical circuits and Knowledge of ANSI symbols

•Application of standard industry drafting/modeling practices. Demonstrates proficiency with 2D CAD tools for electrical systems.

•Responsible in understanding working principles of various LV and MV equipment like transformer, Circuit breaker, VFD, Soft Starter, relay, switches and switchgear panel etc.

•Demonstrate Hands on experience with drafting tools such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical

•Perform component mounting in switchgear. Interprets Metering & modes of communication (communication protocols)

•Perform Quality Checks to ensure drawings meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements

•Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Only Diploma Electrical

  • 1-4 Years in Electrical circuit Design and drafting

Skills:

  • Experience in AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical

  • Experience creating and interpreting Manufacturing Drawings

  • Ability to interpret data from multiple sources to determine final requirements

  • Fluent in English and able to communicate with team

  • Experience to work with cross functional team

  • Experience with stringent timelines, and support of multiple projects in parallel
