What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for delivering key engineering results in support of the Aerospace Conveyance - Requirement management, Digitalization portfolio and allied Centers of Excellence, including building organizational capability and capacity within the region and executing the global engineering strategy for the Group.

"Leader in this position will be responsible for -

  • Drive growth & accelerate capability development of team in line with business strategy, provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop team members

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team 12+ members that handles Requirement Management for New Technology Development projects, New Product Introduction projects, Sustaining Engineering projects and Digitalization – Design automation projects for product lines of Aerospace Fluid Conveyance Products.

  • Act as a technical mentor and expert tech reviewer. Review and approve design proposals based on requirements/statement of work and present to stakeholders/customers.

  • Lead collaboration globally, working with cross-functions like engineering, program management and operations to ensure program execution excellence managing multiple projects with exposure to senior management level management

  • Responsible for meeting the schedule (OTD), scope, cost and technical targets for all projects under his/her control, by managing the pool of engineering resources

  • Work closely with global engineering leaders to develop and implement Digitalization strategy to automate design processes to meet Productivity improvement Goals

  • Monitor progress and achievements on projects, ensure technical reviews and expert resolution of issues and monitor integration of work.

  • Develop a high performing, innovative, empowered and accountable culture across the organization.

  • Show visible leadership and set example by personal action in developing strong learning culture in the team.

  • Attract, develop, and retain employees to build a strong-diversified talent pool and leadership succession. Coach and motivate team members to help achieve peak performance to best of their potential.

  • Champion continuous capability and process improvements to support the Eaton Business System: Profit planning, Technology roadmap, Performance Management, Customer & Employee surveys, Six Sigma, ProLaunch

  • Provides overall leadership to the team to execute projects and make day to day project decisions, uses modern engineering practices to monitor the productivity of the engineering team in order to drive continuous improvement

A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.

The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and customer solutions."

Qualifications:

"Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably Aerospace/Mechanical from an accredited institution.

Preferred - Masters in Aerospace/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or relatable discipline"

"Relevant experience in Aerospace/Allied domain - 8+ years with Masters degree / 12+ years with bachelors degree

Experience of working with multinational engineering organization

Demonstrated experience in leading/ managing engineering organization

Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required."

Skills:

"Should have demonstrated skills in:

  • Leading product & technology full life cycle development experience.

  • Developing the digital tools architecture, logic, coding, handling database management, User testing and debugging skills. Awareness of software development cycle and exposure to ML/AL programming tools & related projects would be plus.

  • Managing Requirements for new product development, beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development and later life cycle phases.

  • Developing positive customer relations, participation in strategic events with customers

  • Continuous improvement methodologies, DFX application"
