Eaton Corporation Engineer - Torque Control Products in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide engineering and design support for Pursuit and New Product Introduction projects related to Torque Control Products. Applicant needs to closely work with technical lead and global stakeholders to achieve the growth objectives of the business unit. The role is to support all engineering and design activities from concept to launch of the product in co-ordination with various internal stakeholders like test lab, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain. The applicant must be proficient with 3D drafting tools Creo and should have sound analytical skills to leverage analysis first approach/hand calculations to reduce verification testing. Good to have hands on knowledge of design for six sigma tools and methodologies to identify and mitigate technical risks at an early stage of product development to develop robust products that meets customer requirements and specification. The applicant must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross functional team.

• Prepare packaging layouts, design concepts in 3D drafting tools Creo for improvement of product.

• Leverage DFSS tools and methodology like P-diagram, DFMEA, DVP etc. to identify technical risks at an early stage of product development

• Demonstrate and leverage knowledge on engineering fundamentals and analytical skills to leverage analysis first approach.

• Perform assembly stack-up & tolerance stack up analysis to do design optimization

• Apply knowledge of GD&T and work on Enovia environment to release the design and models

• Provide technical leadership to execute projects and assignments related to current product engineering as per the project schedule.

• Applicant should have good communication skill to lead projects effectively

• Applicant should have knowledge on manufacturing processes, material, design of various components, and engineering standards

Qualifications:

  • BE/B Tech

  • 3-5 Years

  • Vehicle industry exposure and experience

  • Powertrain engineering experience

Skills:

Good analytical skills in mechanical domain. In-depth knowledge of various differentials, gear, bearing & spline, casting, forgings, stamping etc. Work & interact with global cross-functional team. Good interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders. "
